I would like to take this opportunity, as
the new Chapter President of the District of
Columbia Chapter, to welcome you to the
Chapter and to our website. Our new year
starts in September and I hope that you will
pledge to be supportive of the local and
national Alumni Association.
We have an exciting year planned for you and
hope that you will take part in some of the
activities being planned. We have a bus
trip planned in September to the Urban
League Football Classic, Homecoming is in
October this year and a
District of Columbia Chapter bus trip in
November to see The Color Purple. We will
close the year out with a Holiday Party at
the home of one of the chapter members.
I encourage each of you to support the
Alumni Association by paying your local and national dues. As you may
know, local dues are the Chapter’s only
means of operating funds. Check the website
or one of the Newsletters that you will
receive for information on cost and how to
pay. We experienced a large increase in
local dues last year and we would like to do
even better this year.
Please check our website at on a
weekly bases. The website is part of our
ongoing efforts to reach our alumni and give
you the opportunity to stay informed of
local and national alumni news and
activities. We encourage you to use the
website as we continue to enhance its
features and services.
