The 2009 Scholarship Calendar of Distinguished Black Women published by Black Women in Sisterhood for Action, Inc. (BISA) is now available. The cost is $8.98 (includes shipping and handling), and is $8.00 if not mailed. The Calendar makes a wonderful gift for any occasion.

BISA uses proceeds from the sale of its annual calendar to provide scholarship support to financially needy students to attend college. Currently, BISA is supporting 74 students who are attending 54 colleges and universities in 22 states. We keep the students for four years and attend their graduation. The students get an 800 telephone number so they can call BISA 24/7. The students also get mentoring, counseling, lots of TLC, and any other support necessary to help them be successful. BISA has had 78 students to graduate from it's scholarship support program. Sixteen of BISA's students are scheduled to graduate in 2009.
