Tania Butler Davis

Alumni Association is in Good Hands with Davis Tania Davis (’94) was installed on July 9, 2010, as president of the NCCU Alumni Association, and for nearly a year has been providing leadership to a fastgrowing organization. But leadership for Davis is old hat; prior to her election as president she served as national vice-president. As a member of the District of Columbia chapter, she served as the assistant secretary, president, scholarship chairperson and as a member of the Dinner Dance Committee. She also was Ms. Alumni (1995-1996). Always looking for opportunities to increase alumni involvement, Davis implemented the Eagle Outreach Committee, which is responsible for promoting membership, cultivating leadership and developing outreach efforts to encourage active participation among young alumni. Davis has more than 15 years of experience with the federal government, starting as an acquisition intern with Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) in 1994. She is now a supervisory contract specialist with the Internal Revenue Service’s Office of Procurement. Davis has been an adjunct professor at Bowie State University and is a senior fellow in the Excellence in Government Fellows Program, sponsored through the Partnership in Public Service, which is a yearlong executive leadership development program. A member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, the National Contract Management Association, National Black MBA Association – DC Chapter and the NAACP, Davis became a life member of the NCCU Alumni Association in 2001.
