At the April 10th Alumni Council Meeting, the request by the DC Chapter to formally change its name was approved. The new name for the DC Chapter effective immediately is: Metro DC Chapter. It was our intent to have a name that is more representative of the area served by the Chapter. As you are aware, we encompass the District, Northern Virginia and Suburban Maryland. Look for the new name on the website soon and all communications coming from the Chapter.

Also, in commemoration of the University’s 100th Anniversary, each chapter was asked to have a flag designed to showcase at the National Alumni Convention in July. The DC Chapter commissioned a graphic artist to design our flag. The flag for the Chapter will be on display at all Metro DC Chapter functions after the National Convention.
