Dear Fellow Alum:

The Metro DC Alumni Chapter has embarked on a new year with a new set of officers.  We are already excited about the proposed programs and activities being planned.  We invite you to join us by supporting the chapter through payment of your National and Local Alumni dues.  The payment of dues supports the operational needs of the chapter.  A Membership Form is located on the website.  Please take a few minutes and write that check to support the chapter.

Your support is vital to us as we seek to increase our presence in the Metro DC area.  Your support will allow us to increase the number and value of the scholarships awarded to local area students to attend North Carolina Central University, and address our ever growing involvement in national and local activities that support our Alma Mater.

Our mailing list consists of almost 1400 alums in the Metro DC area.  Because of the cost of mailing newsletters, we will depend heavily on electronic communications.  If you have an email address or know of alums not active with the chapter who has an email address, please take a minute and share that information with us. 

We have an aggressive program of activities planned this year and we solicit your support.  The Chapter will host the Region I Alumni Conference on April 16, 2011 and our Black Tie Scholarship Gala on the same date.  We encourage you to support both of these activities.  We will conduct our Annual School Supplies Drive and sponsor the NCCU Touring Choir this year.  A busy year is being planned.  Make sure you are part of these exciting activities.
